Matrimonial Mania!!!

Believe it or not my favourite passtime on Sunday is reading the Sunday Times Matrimonial section. Trust me guys you should give it a shot. It will give you a dose of laughter that is enough to last you a week!

They are hilarious. Makes you wonder what guys really want out a marriage - a life partner to share all those beautiful moments of life with or a japanese doll. Well 90% of the ads read - Wanted a fair, slim, tall, beautiful, homely girl from high status, reputed family. There was one proposal i will never forget. It was for a boy settled in US who was a green card holder. It said 'this boy is like a Diwali ka laddu'!!! I swear. I was in splits for almost an hour.

This sunday i read one which was like a breath of fresh air.

'I am a str fwd, honest, fun loving person with a gd sense of humour... Interested in reading, music n travelling. Looking 4 a person who is honest, lively, open minded, caring n will be a friend for life. Believe in a marriage that is unrestrictive, complementing and sans powerplay. If these strike a chord plz drop in a line.'

Its funny how a few things we think are basic are actually so uncommon today. Hmmm...

And all my grannies n grandpas out there - No i did not reply to the Ad. Lol!
